तत्राकरोद् रथोपस्थान् शून्यान् शान्तनवो बहून्
tatrākarod rathopasthān śūnyān śāntanavo bahūn | jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—রাজন্, সেখানে শান্তনুনন্দন ভীষ্ম বহু রথের আসন রথীশূন্য করে দিলেন। যখন শ্রেষ্ঠ যোদ্ধারা তাঁকে বধের অভিপ্রায়ে ধেয়ে এল, তখনই ভয়ংকর কোলাহলে মহাযুদ্ধ প্রবল হয়ে উঠল।
