Garuḍa Array and the Ardhacandra Counter-Formation
पातयामास सैन्यानि पाण्डवानां विशाम्पते । प्रहरन््तमनीकानि पिता देवव्रतस्तव
sañjaya uvāca |
pātayāmāsa sainyāni pāṇḍavānāṃ viśāmpate |
praharaṃtamanīkāni pitā devavratas tava |
jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā sīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—হে জননায়ক! তোমার পিতা দেবব্রত (ভীষ্ম) পাণ্ডবদের বহু সৈন্যকে মাটিতে ফেলে দিলেন। সেনাপতি শ্বেতকে আমাদের সেনার উপর আঘাত হানতে দেখে তিনি ত্বরিত এগিয়ে গেলেন; তখনই মহা তুমুল যুদ্ধ বেধে উঠল।
