Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
यदा दानरुचि: स्याद् वै तदा धर्मो न सीदति । अनवेक्ष्य सुतस्नेहं कलत्रस्नेहमेव च
yadā dānaruciḥ syād vai tadā dharmo na sīdati | anavekṣya sutasnehaṃ kalatrasnehameva ca ||
যখন দানের প্রবৃত্তি জাগে, তখন ধর্ম অবনত হয় না। পুত্রস্নেহ ও পত্নীস্নেহের দিকেও না তাকিয়ে—অর্থাৎ আসক্তিতে আবদ্ধ না হয়ে—দান করা উচিত।
