Description of the Splendour of the Sacrificial Enclosure

viśaśrāma mahābāhus tīraṁ labdhveva pāragāḥ |

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharma expressed as mutual honor and proper reception: after strenuous duties, one should still uphold courtesy, reciprocate respect, and accept rest without arrogance—like a traveler who, reaching safety, pauses with gratitude and composure.

Yudhiṣṭhira describes Arjuna being warmly received by the others; Arjuna duly returns their honors and then rests, compared to a person who reaches the shore after seeking to cross a vast ocean.
