श्रीभगवानुवाच कृतो यत्नो मया पूर्व सौशाम्ये कौरवान् प्रति । नाशक्यन्त यदा साम्ये ते स्थापयितुमज्जसा
śrībhagavān uvāca kṛto yatno mayā pūrvaṃ sauśāmye kauravān prati | nāśakyanta yadā sāmye te sthāpayitum ajjasā ||
শ্রীভগবান বললেন—পূর্বে আমি কৌরবদের প্রতি মিলন ও শান্তির জন্য চেষ্টা করেছিলাম; কিন্তু যখন তারা সহজে ঐক্যে স্থিত হতে পারল না, তখন সেই সামঞ্জস্য স্থায়ী হলো না।
