या मे सम्भावना तात त्वयि नित्यमवर्तत । अपि सा सफला तात कृता ते भरतान् प्रति
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
yā me sambhāvanā tāta tvayi nityam avartata |
api sā saphalā tāta kṛtā te bharatān prati ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—বৎস! তোমাকে নিয়ে আমার মনে সর্বদাই এই আশা ছিল যে তোমার প্রচেষ্টায় কৌরব ও পাণ্ডবদের মধ্যে মিলন ঘটবে। বৎস! ভরতবংশীয়দের বিষয়ে আমার সেই আশা কি তুমি সফল করেছ?
