प्रकृत्यात्मकमेवाहू रज: पर्यायकारकम् । प्रवृत्तं सर्वभूतेषु दृश्यमुत्पत्तिलक्षणम्
prakṛtyātmakam evāhu rajaḥ paryāyakārakam | pravṛttaṃ sarvabhūteṣu dṛśyam utpattilakṣaṇam ||
রজকে প্রকৃতিস্বরূপ বলা হয়; তা পরিবর্তনের কারণ। তা সর্বভূতে প্রবৃত্ত হয়ে দেখা যায়; এই দৃশ্য জগত তারই চিহ্ন—উৎপত্তি ও নিরন্তর প্রবৃত্তিই তার লক্ষণ।
