Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
नैव लोभ॑ तदा चक्रुस्तत: स्वर्गमवाप्रुवन्
naiva lobhaṁ tadā cakrus tataḥ svargam avāpruvan
ভীষ্ম বললেন—তখনও তারা লোভে পতিত হয়নি; তাই তারা স্বর্গ লাভ করেছিল। অত্যন্ত ক্ষুধার্ত হয়েও, মহাজনদের নানাবিধ ভোগের প্রলোভনে টলেনি সেই মহাত্মারা; কাম-আকাঙ্ক্ষার বশে না গিয়ে তারা স্বর্গপদ অর্জন করল।
