सत्यं च लोकवादो<यं लोके चरति सुव्रता: । स्वयं प्राप्ते परिभवों भवतीति विनिशक्ष॒य:
Bhīṣma uvāca: satyaṃ ca lokavādo ’yaṃ loke carati suvratāḥ | svayaṃ prāpte paribhavo bhavatīti viniścayaḥ ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—উত্তম ব্রতধারিণী গাভীরা! জগতে যে প্রবাদ প্রচলিত আছে, তা সত্যই—ডাকা না হলে নিজে কারও গৃহে গেলে অবধারিতভাবে অপমানই ঘটে; এটাই স্থির সিদ্ধান্ত।
