शूरा बहुविधा: प्रोक्तास्तेषामर्थास्तु मे शृणु । शूरान्वयानां निर्दिष्ट फलं शूरस्य चैव हि
bhīṣma uvāca | śūrā bahuvidhāḥ proktās teṣām arthāṁs tu me śṛṇu | śūrānvayānāṁ nirdiṣṭaṁ phalaṁ śūrasya caiva hi ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—শূরের নানা প্রকার বর্ণিত হয়েছে; এখন তাদের অন্তর্নিহিত অর্থ আমার কাছ থেকে শোনো। এমন শূরদের বংশধরদের জন্য এবং স্বয়ং শূরের জন্য যে ফল নির্ধারিত, তা আমি বলছি।
