Saudāsa–Vasiṣṭha on the Purifying Power of Cows
गोप्रदानात् तारयते सप्त पूर्वास्तथा परान् | सुवर्ण दक्षिणां कृत्वा तावदद्विगुणमुच्यते
gopradānāt tārayate sapta pūrvās tathā parān | suvarṇa-dakṣiṇāṁ kṛtvā tāvad adviguṇam ucyate ||
পিতামহ বললেন—গোদান করলে মানুষ তার সাত পূর্বপুরুষকে এবং তদ্রূপ সাত পরবর্তী বংশধরকে উদ্ধার করে। আর সেই দানের সঙ্গে যদি স্বর্ণ-দক্ষিণা যোগ করা হয়, তবে তার পুণ্যফল দ্বিগুণ বলা হয়েছে॥
