स हि तादृग्गुणस्तेन तुल्यो5ध्ययनजन्मना । अपत्येषु तथा वृत्ते समस्तेनैव धीमता
sa hi tādṛg-guṇas tena tulyo 'dhyayana-janmanā | apatyeṣu tathā vṛtte samastenaiva dhīmatā ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—“কারণ সে-ও তেমনই গুণসম্পন্ন—বেদাধ্যয়ন ও জন্মে তার সমান। সন্তান ও আচরণেও সে সর্বতোভাবে সেই জ্ঞানীর তুল্য।”
