Cyavana Explains His Tests; Kuśika Seeks Brāhmaṇya for His Line (च्यवन–कुशिक संवादः)
तदस्य सम्भवं राजन् निखिलेनानुकीर्तय । कौशिकाच्च कथं वंशात् क्षत्राद् वै ब्राह्मणो भवेत्
tadasya sambhavaṁ rājan nikhilenānukīrtaya | kauśikāc ca kathaṁ vaṁśāt kṣatrād vai brāhmaṇo bhavet ||
যুধিষ্ঠির বললেন— হে রাজন! তাঁর জন্মবৃত্তান্ত সম্পূর্ণভাবে আমাকে বলুন। কুশিকের বংশ তো ক্ষত্রিয় ছিল; তবে সেই ক্ষত্রিয় বংশ থেকে ব্রাহ্মণ কীভাবে জন্মাল? অতএব, হে রাজন, পরশুরামের উৎপত্তির পূর্ণ বিবরণ দিন।
