Strī-satkāra (On honoring women) — Mahābhārata 13.46
ब्रह्मन! तुमने मुझसे अपना वह कर्म नहीं बताया जो व्यभिचार-दोषके कारण भयरूप था। वे जानते थे, इसलिये उन्होंने तुम्हें बता दिया
Brahman! tvaṁ mayā svaṁ tad karma na kathitaṁ yad vyabhicāra-doṣa-kāraṇād bhaya-rūpaṁ āsīt. te jānanti sma, tasmāt te tvāṁ tat kathitavantaḥ.
বিপুল বললেন— “হে ব্রাহ্মণ! ব্যভিচার-দোষে কলুষিত হয়ে যে কর্ম ভয়ের কারণ হয়েছিল, সে কর্মের কথা তুমি আমাকে বলোনি। তারা তা জানত; তাই তারা তোমাকে তা প্রকাশ করে দিয়েছে।”
