kāśirājyaṃ tad adyaiva tvad-arthaṃ jīvitaṃ tathā | tyajeyaṃ bhava viśrabdhaḥ kapota na bhayaṃ tava ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন— হে কপোত! তোমার রক্ষার জন্য আজই আমি কাশীরাজ্য, এমনকি নিজের প্রাণও ত্যাগ করতে প্রস্তুত। নির্ভয়ে বিশ্বাস কর; তোমার আর কোনো ভয় নেই।
