अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence
गामश्चृ वित्तमन्नं वा तद्विधे प्रतिपादयेत् । द्रव्याणि चान्यानि तथा प्रेत्यभावे न शोचति
gām aśvaṁ vittam annaṁ vā tadvidhe pratipādayet | dravyāṇi cānyāni tathā pretyabhāve na śocati ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—যোগ্য পাত্রকে গাভী, অশ্ব, ধন, অন্ন এবং অন্যান্য দ্রব্য দান করা উচিত। এভাবে সঠিকভাবে দান করলে দাতা মৃত্যুর পরে অনুতাপে দগ্ধ হয় না; সুপাত্রে নিবেদিত দান পরলোকে শোক থেকে রক্ষা করে এবং ধর্মকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করে।
