कला: काष्ठा लवा मात्रा मुहूर्ताहःक्षपा: क्षणा: । विश्वेक्षेत्र प्रजाबीज॑ लिड्रमाद्यस्तु निर्गम:
vāyudeva uvāca | kalāḥ kāṣṭhā lavā mātrā muhūrtāhaḥkṣapāḥ kṣaṇāḥ | viśvakṣetraṁ prajābījaṁ liṅgam ādyas tu nirgamaḥ ||
বায়ুদেব বললেন— কলা, কাষ্ঠা, লব, মাত্রা, মুহূর্ত, দিন-রাত্রি ও ক্ষণ—এসবই কালের মাপ ও বিভাগ। তিনিই ব্রহ্মাণ্ডরূপী বৃক্ষের ভিত্তিক্ষেত্র; তিনিই সকল প্রজার বীজকারণ; তিনিই সেই সূক্ষ্ম ‘লিঙ্গ’ যার দ্বারা অব্যক্তকে অনুমান করা যায়; এবং সৃষ্টিতে সর্বপ্রথম প্রকাশিত তিনিই।
