शक्तितश्नरितं वक्ष्ये प्रसादात्‌ तस्य धीमत: । अप्राप्य तु ततो<नुज्ञां न शक्‍्यः स्तोतुमी श्वरः

Transliteration

śaktitaḥ saṅkṣiptaṁ vakṣye prasādāt tasya dhīmataḥ | aprāpya tu tato 'nujñāṁ na śakyaḥ stotum īśvaraḥ ||

Translation

আমি আমার সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী, সেই প্রজ্ঞাবান মহাদেবের কৃপায় সংক্ষেপে তাঁর চরিত ও স্তোত্র বর্ণনা করব। কিন্তু তাঁর অনুমতি না পেলে সেই পরমেশ্বরের স্তব করা সম্ভব নয়।
