अश्रिभ्यां सह सोमं च पिबाम विगतज्वरा: । फिर तो मदके मुखमें पड़े हुए देवताओंने आपसमें सलाह करके इन्द्रसे कहा --'देवराज! आप विप्रवर च्यवनको प्रणाम कीजिये (इनसे विरोध करना अच्छा नहीं है)। हमलोग निश्रिन्त होकर अश्विनीकुमारोंके साथ सोमपान करेंगे”
aśribhyāṁ saha somaṁ ca pibāma vigatajvarāḥ |
চ্যবন বললেন—“এসো, অশ্বিনীকুমারদের সঙ্গে আমরা সোমপান করি, সকল জ্বর-তাপ থেকে মুক্ত হয়ে।” তখন উদ্বিগ্ন দেবতারা পরস্পর পরামর্শ করে ইন্দ্রকে বলল—“দেবরাজ! বিপ্রশ্রেষ্ঠ চ্যবনকে প্রণাম করো; তাঁর সঙ্গে বিরোধ মঙ্গলজনক নয়। তবে আমরা নিশ্চিন্তে অশ্বিনীকুমারদের সঙ্গে সোমপান করব।”
