उद्धव: क्षोभणो देव: श्रीगर्भ: परमेश्वर: । करणं कारणं कर्ता विकर्ता गहनो गृह:
uddhavaḥ kṣobhaṇo devaḥ śrīgarbhaḥ parameśvaraḥ | karaṇaṃ kāraṇaṃ kartā vikartā gahano guhaḥ ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—তিনি ‘উদ্ধব’, ‘ক্ষোভণ’, ‘দেব’, ‘শ্রীগর্ভ’ ও ‘পরমেশ্বর’ নামে অভিহিত। তিনিই করণ ও কারণ; তিনিই কর্তা এবং বহুবিধ লোকের নির্মাতা; তিনি গহন, তিনি গুপ্ত—মায়ার দ্বারা নিজ স্বরূপ আচ্ছাদিত করেন।
