Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
पशुपतिवचनाद् भवामि सद्य: कृमिरथवा तरुरप्यनेकशाख: । अपशुपतिवरप्रसादजा मे त्रिभुवनराज्यविभूतिरप्यनिष्टा
paśupativacanād bhavāmi sadyaḥ kṛmir athavā tarur apy anekaśākhaḥ | apaśupativarprasādajā me tribhuvanarājyavibhūtir apy aniṣṭā ||
বাসুদেব বললেন—ভগবান পশুপতির বাক্যে আমি তৎক্ষণাৎ আনন্দসহকারে কীটও হতে পারি, বহু শাখাবিশিষ্ট বৃক্ষও হতে পারি। কিন্তু পশুপতি (শিব) ব্যতীত অন্য কারও বর-প্রসাদে যদি ত্রিভুবনের রাজ্য-ঐশ্বর্যও আমার কাছে আসে, তবু তা আমার কাম্য নয়।
