Educational Q&A

Dharma is expressed through diligent, timely, and responsible care for one’s household: one should not neglect even small duties, and should both supervise and personally contribute where needed.

In Bhishma’s discourse on conduct (Anushasana Parva), the speaker describes a model of household management—rising early and ensuring that all family-related tasks are completed, whether by arranging them or doing them personally.
