अन्नदानफलं (Anna-dāna-phala) / The Fruit of Food-Giving
अत: पर॑ं नोपवासो भवतीति विनिश्षय: । उवाच भगवान् विष्णु: स्वयमेव पुरातनम्
ataḥ paraṁ nopavāso bhavatīti viniśṣayaḥ | uvāca bhagavān viṣṇuḥ svayam eva purātanam |
নিশ্চয় জেনে রাখো—এই উপবাসের চেয়ে শ্রেষ্ঠ আর কোনো উপবাস নেই। এই প্রাচীন ব্রতের কথা স্বয়ং ভগবান বিষ্ণুই উপদেশ করেছিলেন।
