Anuśāsana-parva 108
पुत्रा: प्रदेया ज्ञानेषु कुलधर्मेषु भारत । भारत! उसके गर्भसे संतान उत्पन्न करके वंश-परम्पराको प्रतिष्ठित करे और ज्ञान तथा कुलधर्मकी शिक्षा पानेके लिये पुत्रोंको गुरुके आश्रममें भेज दे ।।
putrāḥ pradeyā jñāneṣu kuladharmeṣu bhārata | kanyā cotpādya dātavyā kulaputrāya dhīmate ||
হে ভারত! পুত্রদের জ্ঞান ও কুলধর্মের শিক্ষার জন্য গুরুর আশ্রমে সমর্পণ করা উচিত; আর কন্যা জন্মালে তাকে সুকুলজাত জ্ঞানী যোগ্য যুবকের সঙ্গে বিবাহে দান করা উচিত।
