Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity
न हीदृशमनायुष्यं लोके किंचन विद्यते । यादृशं पुरुषस्येह परदारोपसेवनम्
na hīdṛśam anāyuṣyaṁ loke kiṁcana vidyate | yādṛśaṁ puruṣasyeha paradāropasevanam ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন— এই জগতে পরস্ত্রীর সঙ্গে সংসর্গের মতো আয়ু-নাশক আর কিছু নেই। এখানে পুরুষের জন্য পরের স্ত্রীর ভোগ-অনুসরণ যত নিশ্চিতভাবে জীবন সংক্ষিপ্ত করে, তেমন অন্য কোনো কর্ম করে না।
