शतक्रतुरुवाच येषां वेदा निहिता वै गुहायां मनीषिणां सत्यवतां महात्मनाम् | तेषां त्वयैकेन महात्मनास्मि वृद्धस्तस्मात् प्रीतिमांस्तेडहमद्य
śatakratur uvāca yeṣāṃ vedā nihitā vai guhāyāṃ manīṣiṇāṃ satyavatāṃ mahātmanām | teṣāṃ tvayā ekena mahātmanā asmi vṛddhas tasmāt prītimāṃs te ’ham adya ||
শতক্রতু (ইন্দ্র) বললেন—যে সত্যবাদী, প্রজ্ঞাবান মহাত্মাদের হৃদয়-গুহায় বেদসমূহ নিহিত, তাদের মধ্যে আপনি শ্রেষ্ঠ। হে মহাত্মন্, আপনার একান্ত কল্যাণ-চিন্তাতেই আমি সমৃদ্ধ হয়েছি; তাই আজ আমি আপনার প্রতি গভীর স্নেহে পরিপূর্ণ।
