स ऋषीन् वाहयामास वरदानमदान्वित: । परिहीणक्रियश्वैव दुर्बलत्वमुपेयिवान्
sa ṛṣīn vāhayāmāsa varadānamadānvitāḥ | parihīṇakriyaś caiva durbalatvam upeyivān |
বরদানের গর্বে উন্মত্ত হয়ে সে ঋষিদের দিয়ে নিজের বাহন বহন করাতে লাগল। ফলে সে ধর্মাচার ও বিধিবদ্ধ কর্ম থেকে বিচ্যুত হল; আর ক্রমে দুর্বল হয়ে পড়ল—ধর্মবলহীন।
