न तु केवलदैवेन प्रजा भावेन रेमिरे । यद् बभूव मनःकान्तं कर्मणा स चकार तत्
na tu kevaladaivena prajā bhāvena remire | yad babhūva manaḥkāntaṃ karmaṇā sa cakāra tat |
প্রজারা কেবল ভাগ্য বা দৈবের অনুকূলতায়ই আনন্দিত ছিল না; তারা ভাব থেকে, হৃদয় থেকে প্রসন্ন থাকত। তাদের মনে যা প্রিয় মনে হতো, রাজা তা-ই কর্মের দ্বারা সম্পূর্ণ করতেন; তাই তাদের তৃপ্তি শুধু রক্ষাকর্তব্যে নয়, শ্রদ্ধা ও ভক্তিতেও প্রতিষ্ঠিত ছিল।
