Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
गन्धर्व उवाच एवमासीन्महाभागा तपती नाम पौर्विकी । तव वैवस्वती पार्थ तापत्यस्त्वं यया मत:
Gandharva uvāca: evam āsīn mahābhāgā Tapatī nāma paurvikī | tava Vaivasvatī Pārtha Tāpatiḥ tvaṃ yayā mataḥ ||
গন্ধর্ব বলল—হে পার্থ! প্রাচীন বংশজাত মহাভাগা ‘তপতী’ বৈবস্বান সূর্যের কন্যা; তিনি তোমার পূর্বপুরুষ সংবরণ-এর পত্নী হয়েছিলেন। তাই, হে পৃথাপুত্র, তুমি ‘তাপত্য’ বলে গণ্য।
