Adhyaya 8: Yogasthanas, Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama-Siddhi, and Shiva-Dhyana leading to Samadhi

Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva-puja vidhi within the Linga Purana discourse)
It instructs the mandala/yantra arrangement—especially the triangular yoni-form—and the ordered placement of Agni, Soma, and Surya śaktis, emphasizing that Linga-puja is performed through correctly sequenced śakti-nyāsa and cosmic correspondences.
Shiva-tattva is implied as Pati, the transcendent Lord accessed through Shakti: the worshipper invokes and arranges differentiated powers (fiery, cooling, solar) that resolve into one integrated approach to the Linga, symbolizing Shiva’s mastery over all cosmic functions.
A yantra-based puja practice akin to śakti-nyāsa and bhūta-śuddhi: installing Agneya–Saumya–Saura energies in a prescribed order to stabilize the mind and align the pashu (individual soul) toward Pati through disciplined ritual sequencing.
