यथा घनोऽर्कप्रभवोऽर्कदर्शितो ह्यर्कांशभूतस्य च चक्षुषस्तम: । एवं त्वहं ब्रह्मगुणस्तदीक्षितो ब्रह्मांशकस्यात्मन आत्मबन्धन: ॥ ३२ ॥
yathā ghano ’rka-prabhavo ’rka-darśito hy arkāṁśa-bhūtasya ca cakṣuṣas tamaḥ evaṁ tv ahaṁ brahma-guṇas tad-īkṣito brahmāṁśakasyātmana ātma-bandhanaḥ
যেমন মেঘ সূর্য থেকে উৎপন্ন এবং সূর্য দ্বারাই দৃশ্যমান হয়, তবু সূর্যেরই অংশরূপ চোখের জন্য অন্ধকার সৃষ্টি করে; তেমনি ব্রহ্ম থেকে উৎপন্ন ও ব্রহ্ম দ্বারাই প্রকাশিত ভৌতিক অহংকার, ব্রহ্মাংশ জীবাত্মাকে পরব্রহ্ম উপলব্ধি করতে বাধা দেয়।
