तं दृष्ट्वोपवनाभ्याश आयान्तं तरसा रथात् । अवरुह्य नृपस्तूर्णमासाद्य प्रेमविह्वल: ॥ ४२ ॥ परिरेभेऽङ्गजं दोर्भ्यां दीर्घोत्कण्ठमना: श्वसन् । विष्वक्सेनाङ्घ्रिसंस्पर्शहताशेषाघबन्धनम् ॥ ४३ ॥
taṁ dṛṣṭvopavanābhyāśa āyāntaṁ tarasā rathāt avaruhya nṛpas tūrṇam āsādya prema-vihvalaḥ
ধ্রুব মহারাজকে নিকটবর্তী উপবনের দিকে দ্রুত আসতে দেখে রাজা উত্তানপাদ তৎক্ষণাৎ রথ থেকে নেমে পড়লেন। বহুদিনের তীব্র আকাঙ্ক্ষায় প্রেমে বিহ্বল হয়ে তিনি এগিয়ে এসে ভারী নিশ্বাস ফেলতে ফেলতে দুই বাহুতে পুত্রকে বুকে জড়ালেন। কিন্তু ধ্রুব আর আগের মতো নন; ভগবান বিষ্বক্ষেণের পদপদ্ম-স্পর্শে তাঁর সমস্ত পাপবন্ধন ছিন্ন হয়ে তিনি সম্পূর্ণ পবিত্র হয়েছেন।
