Sukta 51
परिपाणम्। बृहस्पतिर्नः परि पातु पश्चादुतोत्तरस्मादधरादघायोः । इन्द्रः पुरस्तादुत मध्यतो नः सखा सखिभ्यो वरीयः कृणोतु
paripā́ṇam | bŕ̥haspátir naḥ pári pātu paścā́d utóttarasmā́d ádharād aghāyóḥ | índraḥ purástād utá madhyató naḥ sákhā sákhibhyo várīyaḥ kr̥ṇotu
All-round protection: May Bṛhaspati guard us round about—from behind, and from the north, and from below, against the evil-doer. May Indra, from the front and from the midst, as friend, for his friends, make for us a safer, wider room.
পরিপাণম্ (সর্বতো রক্ষা): বৃহস্পতি আমাদের চারদিকে রক্ষা করুন—পশ্চাৎ থেকে, উত্তর দিক থেকে, এবং নীচ থেকে—অঘায়ু (দুষ্কর্মী)-এর বিরুদ্ধে। ইন্দ্র সম্মুখ থেকে ও মধ্য থেকে, বন্ধু হয়ে, বন্ধুদের জন্য, আমাদের জন্য আরও নিরাপদ ও প্রশস্ত আশ্রয় নির্মাণ করুন।
