त्वं हि नः पिता वसो त्वं माता शतक्रतो बभूविथ । अधा ते सुम्नमीमहे

IAST Transliteration

tváṃ hí naḥ pitā́ vaso tváṃ mātā́ śatakrato babhū́vitha | ádhā te sumnám īmahe

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

For thou, O bounteous one, hast been our Father; thou our Mother, O Hundred-powered: therefore we crave of thee thy gracious favor.

Translation

হে বসো (উদার দাতা)! তুমিই আমাদের পিতা হয়েছ; হে শতক্রতু (শত-শক্তিধর)! তুমিই আমাদের মাতা হয়েছ। অতএব আমরা তোমার সুম্ন—কল্যাণকর অনুগ্রহ—প্রার্থনা করি।
