Sukta 3
इन्द्र क्रतुं न आ भर पिता पुत्रेभ्यो यथा । शिक्षा णो अस्मिन् पुरुहूत यामनि जीवा ज्योतिरशीमहि
índra krátuṁ no ā́ bhara pitā́ putrébhyo yáthā | śíkṣā no asmín puruhūta yā́mani jīvā́ jyótiḥ aśīmahi
Indra, bring us hither strength of purpose, as a father unto sons. In this our way, O much-invoked, instruct us: living, may we attain the Light.
হে ইন্দ্র, আমাদের জন্য ক্রতু (সংকল্প-শক্তি) এখানে আনো, যেমন পিতা পুত্রদের জন্য আনে। হে পুরুহূত, এই আমাদের পথে/যামনে আমাদের শিক্ষা দাও; জীবিত অবস্থায় আমরা জ্যোতি (আলো) লাভ করি।
