Sukta 4

यथा शेवधिर्निहितो ब्राह्मणानां तथा वशा। तामेतदच्छायन्ति यस्मिन् कस्मिंश्च जायते

yáthā śevadhír níhito brāhmaṇā́nāṃ táthā vaśā́ | tā́m etád ácchāyanti yasmín kasmíṃś ca jā́yate

As a treasure-deposit laid away for Brahmans, so is the Vaśā: this (guardianship) they keep over her, in whatsoever place she is born.

যেমন ব্রাহ্মণদের জন্য গচ্ছিত রাখা ধনভাণ্ডার, তেমনই বশা। যে কোনো স্থানে সে জন্মায়, সেখানে তারা এই (রক্ষাব্যবস্থা) তার উপর বজায় রাখে।
