Sukta 2
ब्रह्म देवाँ अनु क्षियति ब्रह्म दैवजनीर्विशः । ब्रह्मेदमन्यन्नक्षत्रं ब्रह्म सत् क्षत्रमुच्यते
bráhma devā́ṃ ánu kṣiyati bráhma daívajanīr víśaḥ | bráhmé́dam anyán nákṣatraṃ bráhma sát kṣatrám ucyate
Brahman it is whereby the Gods abide in ordered course; Brahman whereby the god-born peoples stand. Brahman upholds this other realm, the starry host; Brahman is that whereby rightful sovereignty is named.
ব্রহ্মের দ্বারাই দেবগণ নিয়মিত ক্রমে অবস্থান করেন; ব্রহ্মের দ্বারাই দৈবজনী (দেব-জাত) প্রজাগণ স্থিত থাকে। ব্রহ্মই এই অন্য লোক—নক্ষত্রসমূহ—ধারণ করে; ব্রহ্মই সেই যার দ্বারা সত্য (ধর্মসম্মত) ক্ষত্র, অর্থাৎ ন্যায়সঙ্গত রাজক্ষমতা, নামে অভিহিত হয়।
