Sukta 8
idáṃ havír yātudhā́nān nadī́ phénam ivá vahat | yá idáṃ strī́ pumā́n ákarir sá stuvatā́ṃ jánaḥ ||
This oblation beareth off the Yātudhānas, as a river (sweeps away) the foam. Whoso hath by this made woman into man, he is the folk of them that laud (the rite).
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (often transmitted under Atharvan/Āṅgirasa authority for rakṣohā hymns; specific r̥ṣi attribution depends on anukramaṇī tradition).
Devata: Havis/mantra as apotropaic power; implicitly Agni as carrier of the offering; the adversary-class is Yātudhāna.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (nominally; Atharvanic anuṣṭubh with pragmatic cadence)
{"primary_rasa":"adbhuta","secondary_rasa":"vira","emotional_arc":"From cleansing assurance to astonishment at transformative potency, culminating in communal affirmation.","listener_experience":"Relief and renewed faith in the rite; sense that problems can be swept away.","intensity":6}
