Kāraka (Case-relations) — Chapter Colophon and Transition
এই অংশে অগ্নিপুরাণের ব্যাকরণ-পর্বে ‘কারক’ বিষয়ের সমাপ্তি-চিহ্ন দেওয়া হয়েছে; কলোফনে কারকাধ্যায় সম্পূর্ণ হওয়ার ঘোষণা আছে। ব্যাকরণকে এমন এক বিধিবদ্ধ বিদ্যা বলা হয়েছে যা যজ্ঞকর্ম, বিচার-ব্যবহার ও শাস্ত্রব্যাখ্যায় অর্থরক্ষা করে ধর্মকে সহায়তা করে। সমাপ্তির পরেই গ্রন্থ ‘সমাস’ অধ্যায়ে অগ্রসর হয়—কারক-সম্পর্ক থেকে সমাসের মাধ্যমে রূপ-অর্থের সংক্ষেপে নিয়মিত অগ্রগতি, অগ্নেয় শিক্ষার ধারায়, নির্দেশিত হয়।
