आभासोपमशक्तिश् च सर्गे यद्भिन्नवृत्तता मिश्रं वपुरिति ख्यातं प्रकीर्णमिति च द्विधा श्रव्यञ्चैवाभिनेयञ्च प्रकीर्णं सकलोक्तिभिः

ābhāsopamaśaktiś ca sarge yadbhinnavṛttatā miśraṃ vapuriti khyātaṃ prakīrṇamiti ca dvidhā śravyañcaivābhineyañca prakīrṇaṃ sakaloktibhiḥ

যখন কোনো সর্গে ছন্দের নানাবিধ প্রয়োগ থাকে এবং আভাস, উপমা ও শক্তি প্রভৃতি অলংকারও যুক্ত থাকে, তখন সেই রচনাকে “মিশ্র-বপু” বলা হয়। একে “প্রকীর্ণ”ও বলা হয়; এটি দুই প্রকার—(১) শ্রব্য এবং (২) অভিনেয়, কারণ এতে সর্বপ্রকার উক্তি ও সংলাপধর্মী প্রকাশ থাকে।
