Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It teaches that true spiritual vision is awakened by Parameśvara’s grace (anugraha): the independent Lord opens the seeker’s eyes, not merely effort alone, and He does so for the welfare of all beings.
In Linga-worship, the devotee approaches the Saguna form as the compassionate, world-benefiting Lord; this verse frames realization as Shiva’s līlā—His merciful action by which inner perception of the Linga’s truth is awakened.
Cultivate devotion and receptivity to grace through japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and steady dhyāna on Shiva as Parameśvara, praying for the “opening of the eyes” of inner discernment.
