Linga-worship in the Vidyeśvara context is a disciplined, rule-governed approach to Saguna Śiva; the verse underscores that the materials and procedure are to be sanctified through the teacher’s oversight, preserving purity of method and devotion.

It points to guru-guided tantric observance: after completing the rite, one should respectfully offer the worship-implements to the Ācārya, along with continued japa of Śiva-mantra (such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as instructed.
