Account of the Birth/Origin of Vyāsa
जातमात्रस्तु तेजस्वी मातरं प्रत्यभाषत । गच्छ मातर्यथाकामं गच्छाम्यहमतः परम्
jātamātrastu tejasvī mātaraṃ pratyabhāṣata | gaccha mātaryathākāmaṃ gacchāmyahamataḥ param
কিন্তু সেই তেজস্বী শিশু জন্মমাত্ৰেই মাতাক ক’লে—“মা, তুমি য’তে ইচ্ছা ত’তে যোৱা; মই ইয়াৰ পৰা পৰম অৱস্থালৈ গমন কৰিম।”

It highlights innate vairāgya (dispassion) and the soul’s orientation toward Param (the Supreme), indicating that liberation is attained by turning away from worldly attachment and moving toward Pati (Shiva) as the highest goal.
The “departure to the Supreme” aligns with progressing from outer supports to inner realization—worship may begin with Saguna Shiva and the Linga, but culminates in steadfast awareness of Shiva as the transcendent Pati beyond all limitation.
A takeaway is renunciant-minded japa and dhyāna—especially Panchākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa—performed with the intent of loosening bondage (pāśa) and seeking moksha.
