Cosmic Event: pañcakṛtya as the perpetual cosmic process (continuous līlā rather than a single episodic event).
It summarizes Śiva’s pañcakṛtya (five divine acts): He governs the cosmos through creation, sustenance, dissolution, concealment of liberating knowledge, and finally grace—by which the bound soul is led toward liberation.
The Liṅga is revered as the living symbol of Śiva’s all-pervading lordship over these five acts; worshipping Saguna Śiva through the Liṅga trains devotion and surrender so that His anugraha (grace) may arise and remove tirobhaava (spiritual obscuration).
Meditate on Śiva as the doer of the five acts while repeating the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering bilva leaves to the Liṅga, and praying specifically for anugraha (grace) to dispel inner veiling (tirobhaava).
