অত্ৰিৰ এই সৰু অগ্নি-সূক্তত অগ্নিক গীতৰ দ্বাৰা জাগ্ৰত হোৱা, নিৰ্বাচিত হোতৃ বুলি প্ৰশংসা কৰা হৈছে—যিয়ে যজ্ঞক বিস্তৃত আৰু ফলপ্ৰসূ কৰে। ইয়াত বাৰে বাৰে স্তৱ (অৰ্চ্-)ক অগ্নি জ্বলাই তোলা, ৰক্ষা, আৰু “বহুৰঙীয়া” সমৃদ্ধিক ওচৰলৈ টানি অনাৰ সৈতে সংযোগ কৰা হৈছে; অগ্নিক যজ্ঞৰ কেন্দ্ৰ হিচাপে দেখুওৱা হৈছে, যিয়ে দেৱতাসকলক ক্ৰিয়ালৈ একত্ৰ কৰে।

अर्चन्तस्त्वा हवामहेऽर्चन्तः समिधीमहि । अग्ने अर्चन्त ऊतये ॥
গীত গাই তোমাক আমি আহ্বান কৰোঁ; গীত গাই তোমাক সম্পূৰ্ণকৈ জ্বলাই তুলি। হে অগ্নি, গীত গাই আমি তোমাৰ সহায়—কৰ্মত উত্তোলক ৰক্ষা—বিচাৰোঁ।
Mantra 2
अग्नेः स्तोमं मनामहे सिध्रमद्य दिविस्पृशः । देवस्य द्रविणस्यवः ॥
আমি মনে মনে অগ্নিৰ স্তোম গঢ়োঁ—আজি সিদ্ধ, দ্যুলোক-স্পৰ্শী। আমি দেবতাৰ দ্ৰৱিণৰ অন্বেষক—সেই পূৰ্ণতা, যি অন্তৰ্যাত্ৰাক ধাৰণ কৰে।

अग्निर्जुषत नो गिरो होता यो मानुषेष्वा । स यक्षद्दैव्यं जनम् ॥
অগ্নিয়ে আমাৰ গিৰা গ্ৰহণ কৰক—মানৱৰ ভিতৰত যি হোতা। সি দৈৱ জনক যজন কৰি আমাৰ কৰ্মক্ষেত্ৰলৈ নিকট আনক।

त्वमग्ने सप्रथा असि जुष्टो होता वरेण्यः । त्वया यज्ञं वि तन्वते ॥
হে অগ্নি, তুমি বিস্তৃত-প্ৰসাৰিত; তুমি জুষ্ট, বরণীয় হোতা। তোমাৰ দ্বাৰাই যজ্ঞ বিস্তাৰিত হয়, সম্পূৰ্ণ ৰূপে বোনা হয়।

त्वामग्ने वाजसातमं विप्रा वर्धन्ति सुष्टुतम् । स नो रास्व सुवीर्यम् ॥
হে অগ্নি, বল-লাভত সৰ্বাধিক বিজয়ী, তোমাক ঋষি-বিপ্ৰসকলে সু-স্তুতিৰে উত্তমভাৱে বঢ়াই তোলে। সেয়ে আমাক সু-বীৰ্য দিয়া—সত্য নায়ক-শক্তি, দীপ্ত বলৰ তেজস্বী শক্তি।

अग्ने नेमिरराँ इव देवाँस्त्वं परिभूरसि । आ राधश्चित्रमृञ्जसे ॥
হে অগ্নি, আৰাৰ দৰে নেমি যিদৰে স্পোকসমূহক ঘেৰে, তেনেদৰে তুমি দেৱসকলক পৰিবেষ্টন কৰিছা; যজ্ঞত তুমি সৰ্বপৰিভূ, সৰ্বব্যাপী অধিপতি। তুমি আমাৰ ওচৰলৈ চিত্ৰ-ৰাধস আনে—বহুবৰ্ণ সমৃদ্ধি, পূৰ্ণতাৰ নানাবিধ শক্তি।
