এই সংক্ষিপ্ত ত্ৰিষ্টুভ স্তোত্ৰটো সংলাপধৰ্মী কাঠামোত ইন্দ্ৰ আৰু মৰুতসকলৰ মাজত টানাপোড়েন আৰু পুনৰ-মিলনৰ দৃশ্য মঞ্চস্থ কৰে; মধ্যস্থ ঋষি হিচাপে অগস্ত্য উপস্থিত। আৰম্ভণিতে ই জ্ঞানমূলক অনিশ্চয়তা উত্থাপন কৰে—কি জানিব পৰা যায় আৰু “অন্যৰ মন” কিমান অস্থিৰ হ’ব পাৰে—তাৰ পাছত ঋত (কসমিক শৃঙ্খলা) অনুসাৰে ঐক্য পুনঃস্থাপনৰ দিশে ধাৱিত হয়, যাতে ইন্দ্ৰে মৰুতসকলৰ সৈতে যজ্ঞ-অৰ্পণ গ্ৰহণ কৰে। উদ্দেশ্য একে সময়তে আচারগত (মৰুতসকলৰ সৈতে ইন্দ্ৰৰ অংশগ্ৰহণ নিশ্চিত কৰা) আৰু নৈতিক-মনোবৈজ্ঞানিক (ইচ্ছা, বাক্য আৰু মৈত্ৰী/মিত্ৰতা সোজা কৰা) ।

Mantra 1
न नूनमस्ति नो श्वः कस्तद्वेद यदद्भुतम् । अन्यस्य चित्तमभि संचरेण्यमुताधीतं वि नश्यति ॥
এতিয়া নহয়, কাইলৈও নহয়—সেই অদ্ভুত কথা কোনে জানে? আনজনৰ চিত্ত এক চলাচলযোগ্য ক্ষেত্ৰ; তথাপি যি শিকোৱা হৈছে সেয়া লোপ পায়। সেয়ে অনুসন্ধানীয়ে জ্ঞান স্থাপন কৰিব লাগে স্থিৰ ঋত (সত্য-নিয়ম) ত, চিত্তৰ চঞ্চল খেলাত নহয়।

किं न इन्द्र जिघांससि भ्रातरो मरुतस्तव । तेभिः कल्पस्व साधुया मा नः समरणे वधीः ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ, কিয় তুমি আমাক আঘাত কৰিব খোজা, যেতিয়া মৰুতসকল তোমাৰ ভ্ৰাতা? তেওঁলোকৰ সৈতে সৎপথে নিজকে সুৰ মিলোৱা; সংঘৰ্ষৰ সমৰত আমাক ন মাৰিবা।

किं नो भ्रातरगस्त्य सखा सन्नति मन्यसे । विद्मा हि ते यथा मनोऽस्मभ्यमिन्न दित्ससि ॥
হে ভ্ৰাতা অগস্ত্য, বন্ধু হৈয়ো কিয় তুমি সীমা অতিক্ৰম কৰি ভাবিছা? আমি জানো তোমাৰ মন কেনেকুৱা; তুমি সঁচাকৈ আমালৈ নিজকে দান কৰিব নোখোজা।

अरं कृण्वन्तु वेदिं समग्निमिन्धतां पुरः । तत्रामृतस्य चेतनं यज्ञं ते तनवावहै ॥
তেওঁলোকে বেদী সাজি লওক; আগুনক আগত জ্বলাই দিওক। তাতেই, অমৃতত্বৰ চেতনাৰূপ তোমাৰ যজ্ঞ আমি বিস্তাৰ কৰোঁ।

त्वमीशिषे वसुपते वसूनां त्वं मित्राणां मित्रपते धेष्ठः । इन्द्र त्वं मरुद्भिः सं वदस्वाध प्राशान ऋतुथा हवींषि ॥
হে বসুপতে, বসুসমূহৰ অধিপতি, তুমি ধনৰাশি/ঐশ্বৰ্যৰ ওপৰত শাসন কৰিছা; হে মিত্রপতে, মিত্ৰতাসমূহৰ ভিতৰত তুমি সৰ্বাধিক দৃঢ়। হে ইন্দ্ৰ, মৰুতসকলৰ সৈতে একমতে বাক্য কোৱা; তাৰ পাছত ঋত অনুসাৰে হৱিসসমূহ গ্ৰহণ কৰা—যেন আমাৰ ভিতৰত সঠিক ঋত-ব্যৱস্থা স্থাপিত হয়।
