Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
एवमुक्तः सुरसया प्राञ्जलिर्वानरर्षभः।प्रहृष्टवदनः श्रीमानिदं वचनमब्रवीत्।।।।
evam uktaḥ surasayā prāñjalir vānararṣabhaḥ | prahṛṣṭavadanaḥ śrīmān idaṁ vacanam abravīt ||
সুৰসাই এনেদৰে কোৱাত, বানৰশ্ৰেষ্ঠ শ্ৰীমান হনুমানে অঞ্জলি বঁধি, প্ৰসন্ন দীপ্ত মুখে এই বাক্য ক’লে।
Thus addressed by Surasa, the glorious Hanuman said this with a blooming face and folded hands:
Maryādā (righteous etiquette): even when threatened, one speaks with respect and self-control, upholding truth and propriety.
After Surasā demands that he enter her mouth, Hanuman prepares to answer—politely and without panic.
Humility with courage: Hanuman combines reverence (folded hands) with unwavering resolve.
