An unnamed Ṛṣi (sage) addressing Mahādeva (Śiva)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
Sandhi Resolution Notes:
It teaches that spiritual power (tapas) is sustained not merely by effort but by divine grace (Śiva’s prasāda), especially in a sanctified context (“here”).
A sage (ṛṣi), after offering praise, speaks while bowed down to Mahādeva (Śiva), addressing him as “Bhagavān.”
Humility and devotion—expressed through praise and prostration—are presented as the proper attitude through which divine favor supports one’s spiritual discipline.
