Unspecified (continuation verse within the Adhyaya; speaker not identifiable from the single shloka alone)

Concept: Hearing the compendium and true enumeration of tattvas—and the principle higher than Brahman—enables the wise to know Reality.

Application: Let study culminate in surrender: use analysis to remove confusion, then anchor life in devotion (nāma, pūjā, seva) to the highest principle; keep learning connected to transformation, not mere concepts.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A final revelation scene: the rishi closes a palm-leaf manuscript as the tattva-mandala dissolves into a single radiant form of Nārāyaṇa standing above a lotus of Brahmā. The many principles stream upward like sparks returning to a sun, and the disciples’ faces shift from intellectual focus to quiet, devotional certainty.","primary_figures":["Nārāyaṇa (Vishnu as Puruṣottama)","Brahmā on the lotus (below)","a rishi-teacher","disciples","tattva-mandala dissolving into light"],"setting":"Cosmic-lotus vision blending hermitage and celestial space; manuscript study transforms into darśana.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["radiant gold","sapphire blue","lotus pink","pearl white","deep maroon"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: towering Puruṣottama Nārāyaṇa with massive gold leaf halo, Brahmā seated on lotus below, rishi and disciples at the base holding manuscripts; tattva-mandala rendered as jeweled rings dissolving into golden rays, rich reds/greens, ornate arch frame, gem-studded ornaments emphasizing ‘tattva-jñāna’ culminating in bhakti.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: gentle visionary ascent—mandala rings fade into a luminous blue-gold Nārāyaṇa, Brahmā on a delicate lotus beneath; disciples in soft awe, refined facial expressions, cool mountain-like palette with warm highlights, subtle clouds and light beams.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: central standing Viṣṇu with bold outlines and bright pigments, Brahmā on lotus below, circular tattva bands breaking into stylized flame-like rays; temple-wall symmetry, strong reds/yellows/greens, emphatic eyes conveying realization.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central lotus with Nārāyaṇa above and Brahmā within the lotus core, surrounding floral rings representing tattvas turning into gold rays; intricate borders with lotuses and peacocks, deep indigo background, devotional symmetry suggesting ‘many to One’."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"devotional","suggested_raga":"Durga","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["conch shell (soft)","temple bells","tanpura drone","brief silence after cadence"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: ब्रह्मतत्वाधिकं चापि = ब्रह्मतत्त्वाधिकम् + च + अपि। विदुर्बुधाः = विदुः + बुधाः।

FAQs

It refers to the systematic counting and classification of fundamental principles (tattvas)—a philosophical mapping of reality—presented “tatvataḥ,” i.e., as they truly are.

In many Purāṇic-Vaiṣṇava contexts, “Brahman” can denote an impersonal absolute, while the text may assert a further, supreme reality beyond that—often understood as the highest personal divine principle.

True understanding arises from attentive hearing and discerning reflection on sound teaching: by learning the structure of reality (tattvas) and their hierarchy, the wise arrive at genuine knowledge of the ultimate.
