Adhyaya 91 — The Gods’ Hymn to Kātyāyanī and the Goddess’ Prophecy of Future Manifestations
देवा ऊचुः देवि प्रपन्नार्तिहरे प्रसीद प्रसीद मातर्जगतोऽखिलस्य ।
प्रसीद विश्वेश्वरि पाहि विश्वं त्वमीश्वरी देवि चराचरस्य ॥
devā ūcuḥ devi prapannārtihare prasīda prasīda mātar jagato 'khilasya | prasīda viśveśvari pāhi viśvaṃ tvam īśvarī devi carācarasya ||
দেৱতাসকলে ক’লে—হে শৰণাগতসকলৰ দুখ হৰণকাৰিণী দেৱী, প্ৰসন্ন হওক, প্ৰসন্ন হওক, হে সমগ্ৰ জগতৰ মাতৃ। হে বিশ্বেশ্বৰী, প্ৰসন্ন হৈ জগতক ৰক্ষা কৰা। হে দেৱী, চল-অচল সকলোৰে অধিপতি তুমি।

The verse foregrounds śaraṇāgati: when beings surrender, the Divine Mother is invoked as the compassionate remover of suffering. Ethically, it models humility and dependence on divine grace rather than egoic self-sufficiency.
Primarily theological praise within a narrative episode; it is not a direct pancalakṣaṇa unit. Indirectly it supports sarga/pratisarga by affirming Devī as sovereign over all moving/unmoving creation (cosmic governance).
‘Carācara’ indicates totality (all phenomena). Devī as ‘Viśveśvarī’ points to the single Conscious Power behind multiplicity; refuge (prapatti) is the inward turning of the mind to that singular ground.
